CEO Greeting

Vopak Terminals Korea was established in 1970 as a joint venture company between Pum Yang Co. and International Tank terminal, an independent tank terminal operator based in the US. This joint venture, being the first commercial tank terminal operator in Korea, contributed to an efficient transportation of liquid petrochemicals and made it possible for the petrochemical industry to save the related transportation cost.

When in 1992 the shares of International Tank Terminal were transferred to Royal Van Ommeren, a Dutch firm with a global tank terminal network, the company name changed into Van Ommeren Terminals Korea Ltd. The name changed to Vopak Terminals Korea after the merger of Royal Van Ommeren and Royal Pakhoed into Royal Vopak in November 1999.

Since the start of our operations the services provided by Voapk Terminals Korea guaranteed rapidity in stevedoring, excellent product stewardship, accurate inventory management and prompt response to clients' request 24-hours a day, all year round.
